Scheurich West‎ Germany Fat Lava Pottery Vase 231-15 Mid Century Modern Ochre

A mid-century modern West German art pottery vase manufactured by Scheurich-Keramik (model 231-15). The design features a smooth ochre-brown base glaze accented by a central band of thick, froamy white fat lava over-glaze framed by deep brown, heavily textured volcanic relief rings. The underside displays the characteristic molded shape number, height marking, and glaze treatment typical of 1970s production.  Measurements: • Height: 6 • Width: 3.25  The thick fat lava glaze and volcanic detailing are fully intact with no chips, cracks, or fleabites along the rim or base. The interior is clean with a consistent dark brown gloss finish.  We carefully select every item and believe in transparency.
