Vintage Chinese Peach Vase Hand Painted Yellow Porcelain Decorated in Hong Kong
N/A
This beautiful vintage Chinese porcelain vase features a vibrant imperial yellow ground with a hand-painted Longevity Peach motif. The peaches are rendered in soft pink and red gradients, trailing from dark, detailed branches with green foliage. A key feature of this piece is the intricate, incised sgraffito or graviata scrolling pattern etched into the yellow glaze, creating a subtle textured background that catches the light. The interior and base are finished in a clean white glaze. Condition: Good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is visible age-related crazing throughout the glaze, particularly around the neck and rim, which is typical for porcelain of this era. Markings: Stamped DECORATED IN HONG KONG in red on the base. Made some time between 1960 and 1980. Dimensions: Approximately 7 inches tall with a 2-inch wide rim. Style: Chinoiserie, Famille Jaune, Mid-Century Export. Perfect for a bookshelf, mantle, or as part of a Chinoiserie collection.
