Each finished product undergoes ultrasonic and electromagnetic wave inspection to rigorously check for any issues from the surface to the interior of the bar.

There is a method to test the strength of a bar by pulling it from both sides with immense force until it breaks.
While typical bars measure around 115,000 to 150,000 PSI (pounds per square inch), IVANKO's strength bar recorded an impressive 218,000 PSI.
Incidentally, a bar with a strength of 200,000 PSI or more is said to be usable semi-permanently.

The OB-20 strength bar from IVANKO features a black finish. This is called black oxide coating, which is applied to enhance strength without compromising the integrity of the iron.
Standard barbells are often chrome-plated for aesthetic reasons. However, the chrome plating process can actually lead to acid embrittlement, which can cause the bar to break.
Black oxide coating is dissolved at temperatures below 205°C (401°F). When processed correctly, it results in a beautiful and durable coating that requires minimal maintenance.
