1970s Haeger USA Ceramic Footed Planter – Brown Octagon with Fern Leaf Panels

Produced by Haeger Pottery in the 1970s, this ceramic footed planter features an octagonal silhouette with sculpted fern leaf panels in relief. The exterior glaze is a rich, earthy brown; the interior is finished in a soft cream. The base bears a blue “Haeger USA” stamp, with no model number. Measuring approximately 7 inches tall and 7 inches across the top, this planter offers a grounded, botanical presence. Light wear consistent with age; no chips or cracks noted. Founded in 1871 in Dundee, Illinois, Haeger Pottery became known for its elegant glazes and sculptural forms, blending art pottery traditions with mid-century modern sensibilities. Over its 145-year history, Haeger produced both decorative and functional ceramics, often marked by rich earth tones and botanical motifs like the one seen here.
