Authentic Vintage Western Union Steel Sign Antique RARE Navy Color

One of a Kind!! From the American Midwest, this is an original vintage Western Union metal bicycle messenger sign, most likely dating back to the 1920s to 1940s. History & Significance: the early to mid-20th century, Western Union famously employed a massive fleet of bicycle messengers to hand-deliver urgent telegrams across cities. These narrow, double-sided enameled steel signs—officially designated by some collectors and museums as the Type 67-6 sign—were mounted directly onto the top crossbar or frame of a messenger's bicycle using specialized heavy metal brackets or straps. A historic example of this exact model is preserved in the National Museum of American History collection Perfect for creating a retro focal point in your home or office!
