★ Kyokusui Mizuhara, a haiku poet known as one of the 4S. The 4S refers to four poets: Kyokusui Mizuhara, Sotoji Takano, Seishi Yamaguchi, and Seisei Amano. He played a central role in the Hototogisu magazine founded by Kyoshi Takahama.
★ The fan surface is made of beautiful paper, sparkling and gorgeous with bright silver sand. The flowing water pattern is drawn with gold lines and colored with a light emerald green inside. The overall impression is one of coolness and a refreshing scene on the fan surface.
★ The character 晩 (ban, meaning late) in the first character is 3.6cm wide. The entire text is written with a rich amount of ink, giving it a strong presence. The shape of the characters is also beautiful and dignified, with each character standing upright.
★ The pattern on the paper is carefully hand-drawn. Therefore, some of the ink has been repelled by the pattern, creating a unique effect. This would not happen with printed materials, serving as proof of genuine craftsmanship. We hope you will appreciate this detail.
