This is a two-panel folding screen featuring the calligraphy Wa (Harmony) by the former chief abbot of Engaku-ji Temple, Zen Master Muneyoshi Asahina, discovered during a decluttering of my family home.

This is not a commercially available item; it was a rare gift presented to a select few during specific memorial services or events. Similar items are seldom found online.

The screen is luxuriously adorned with Kinran (brocade) woven with gold thread, giving it a highly dignified and artistic quality that can be displayed as is on a tokonoma (alcove) or shelf, exuding a sense of luxury.

The Spirit of Wa: The master's powerful yet warm calligraphy brings tranquility and elegance to any space, serving as a perfect decorative piece for tea rooms or Japanese-style rooms.

[Condition]
While there are signs of age, the brocade retains its beautiful luster, making it fully enjoyable for display. It will be delivered in its original paulownia box with a paper label.
There is a slight stain-like mark on the right side.
