The word Michi (The Way/Path), which Eiji Yoshikawa often inscribed on his shikishi, embodies his philosophy of life and the way of living as a human being and endless pursuit that lie at the foundation of his creative work.
While Michi is famous as Eiji Yoshikawa's motto, it also relates to this concept. He views the process of learning from all people and things encountered on the path (life) before us and continuously improving oneself as Michi.
Thank you for viewing.
