Vintage Asian lacquer jewelry/keepsake box featuring detailed hand-painted horse rider scenes in traditional Chinoiserie style. Exterior is finished in black lacquer with gold and red artwork and brass locking hardware. Interior is lined with vintage Chinese calendar paper, a detail commonly found in export lacquer boxes made in Japan or Hong Kong between the 1930s and 1950s.
