Antique Victorian 1890's Banded Agate Carnelian Stamp Silver 2 1/2 Wax Seal - W/ B. Monogram   Antique wax seal featuring a beautifully carved carnelian agate handle with faceted and fluted detailing. The stone shows natural banding and warm reddish‑brown translucence and was polished to an ultra-smooth sheen. The metal ferrule is silver‑tone with some tarnish and unmarked, likely silver‑plate, with decorative shaping typical of late Victorian to early Edwardian desk accessories.  The seal face is octagonal and engraved with olde English monogram letters that I believe are W. B.  Please look and verify as I know some olde Gothic script can be ambiguous, especially looking at it in reverse.  It is a classic style used for personal correspondence and document sealing. The sealer measures approximately 2.5 long and has a pleasing weight and feel in hand.  Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks to the stone and only light age‑appropriate wear to the metal.  The two pieces are seated well to each other without wobble.    A lovely, refined example of a 19th–early 20th century stationery accessory, ideal for collectors of antique writing tools, desk objects, or monogrammed seals.
