【Ogata Korin】 "Old Pine Tree" Otsuka Kogei-sha Replica (High Quality)

This is a hanging scroll meticulously reproduced by Otsuka Kogei-sha, based on a masterpiece by Korin Ogata.
Otsuka Kogei-sha was founded by Minoru Otsuka in the Taisho era, inspired by Taikan Yokoyama's proposal to create Kogei-ga (artistic reproductions) using photogravure and printing technology. Later, top-tier painters, who also handle restoration of ancient artworks, hand-colored each piece with the same pigments as the original, establishing a unique position as Kogei-ga, distinct from mere forgeries. Today, these reproductions are highly regarded as first-class replicated artworks.
While an original work by Korin Ogata would be extremely expensive, reproductions by Otsuka Kogei-sha, known for their excellent texture reproduction, are traded for tens of thousands to over a hundred thousand yen.
This item was kept at my maternal grandparents' home in Kyoto. It shows no signs of use and is in excellent condition.
