【Fukuju (福寿)】
Fuku means happiness/blessing and Ju means longevity/auspiciousness. Fukuju is an auspicious term combining these meanings, used to celebrate longevity and happiness. It is natural for people to wish for a long life free from misfortune. In reality, this is difficult to achieve. This phrase conveys the idea that if there is no misfortune now, that is the greatest blessing, and to accept one's precious life as a blessing, finding happiness even amidst misfortune.
