Vintage Swarovski SAL* Gold-Tone/Black Enamel Parrot Brooch/Pin

This vintage pin design is a parrot perched on a branch, featuring glossy black enamel ‘feathers’ with polished gold-tone framing the ‘feathers’, face and distinctive tail.  The ‘eye’ is a deep green rhinestone.  The clear rhinestones are on the top of the wing as well as the tip of the tail which adds luxury to the piece.  *Swarovski is denoted by SAL which is stamped on the back of this brooch/pin. The stamped ‘SAL’ indicates the piece from Swarovski, dating to the 1970s, when SAL was one of the earliest marks used for Swarovski’s costume jewelry line.) It is secured with a bar pin.  The brooch/pin measures approximately 3 ½” x 1. There are no dents anywhere on this pin.  Th enamel is free of scratches.  The green rhinestone in the eye as well as the clear rhinestones on the top of the wing and tip of the tail are completely intact. The bar pin is fully functioning.
