Description
【Product Description】
This is a photobook by photographer Michi Nakano.
This book, published in 2023, is the second photobook following her debut photobook Akatsuki. It is currently sold out.
In her previous work published in 2020, Nakano explored the theme of wholeness, depicting the fleeting yet beautiful connections of life found in everyday moments. In this new work, she further develops that perspective, capturing fleeting moments within an unstoppable, grand flow with a more intimate and expansive gaze.
The collection of images, structured by alternating between micro and macro perspectives, quietly poses questions about living well within finite time, and the connections and value of existence, such as life and the universe, past and future.
I believe that having many desires, such as wanting to hold onto something, or wishing things could stay the same forever, enriches us. The light that reached me from you, far away, illuminates the long autumn nights. That faint yet dazzling light was so beautiful.
— Michi Nakano
Michi Nakano was born in North Carolina, USA, in 1989 and resides in Tokyo. She completed her Master's degree at Sophia University's Graduate School of Letters. She has been active as a photographer and film director since 2015.
