Time Sale Goldfish Art Premium, Perfect Gift for Birthdays, Miniature Ornament

Thank you for visiting our store. We are committed to authenticity, not just illustrations, with our Kiwami (Tono Hinoki cypress wood box from Gifu Prefecture). This product features cute Wakin goldfish, familiar from festival goldfish scooping, along with Demekin (telescopic-eyed goldfish) and other varieties.

In ancient China, goldfish were believed to bring good luck and wealth. In Feng Shui, goldfish are said to ward off all kinds of misfortune and promote smooth progress in all endeavors.

● Goldfish = Financial luck and wealth
● Demekin = Budding/Absorbs evil spirits

We envision these cute Wakin goldfish, slightly smaller than those that entertain us at the annual festival goldfish scooping, swimming in schools in the breeding ponds before being shipped to festivals.

In Japanese history, until the early Edo period, fish were kept not in glass aquariums or bowls, but in various wooden containers such as cypress wood boxes and tubs. People enjoyed viewing them from above as a form of healing for a long time. Tono Hinoki cypress wood is used in the outer shrine of Ise Jingu in Mie Prefecture due to its beautiful grain, luster, and aroma. We use the highest grade Tono Hinoki cypress wood, famous in Gifu Prefecture. Skilled artisans handcraft each piece using Tono Hinoki cypress wood.
