ZINGARO BATTUTA
2009 Japan Tour Catalog

Galloping brides on horseback, runaway carriages, the hustle and bustle of everyday life... In Battuta, the sonic contrast between two Romanian ensembles, a brass band from the Moldavia region and a string ensemble from the Transylvania region, plays a crucial role. As if in response to the music played by these two ensembles, acrobatic performances of freedom and danger unfold. A magical, fantastical world created by Bartabas, an extreme stage art woven by horses and humans.

This is the program from the 2009 Japan tour.
