◆Huang Tu-Shui (黃土水, Kō Dosui, Taiwanese Hokkien: N̂g, Thô͘ Chúi, July 3, 1895 – December 21, 1930) was a sculptor from Taiwan during the Japanese colonial period. He was the first Taiwanese person to enroll in Japan's Tokyo School of Fine Arts and the first Taiwanese person to be selected for the Japanese government-sponsored exhibition, playing an active role as a pioneer of modern Taiwanese art, but he died young at the age of 35.
