The RAINIER model, first released in 1982 as New Balance's first lightweight hiking boot, features an embossed Flying NB logo on the upper, crafted from eco-friendly materials and processes as part of our sustainability program. The upper is made of hairy suede/textile and colored in natural, workwear-inspired tones. Like the original RAINIER, this model also uses a Vibram outsole.
