Vintage 1940s Maypole Embroidered Table Topper Folk Art Coral 33x36

Measurements:  Approximately 33 x 36 inches.  Charming vintage table square featuring colorful hand-stitched folk dancers holding ribbons around a central maypole. The muted coral-peach fabric, whimsical May Day scene, and traditional needlework give it wonderful cottagecore and European folk-art appeal.  Appears to be linen or a linen-cotton blend with a lightly slubbed weave. Decorative details include counted cross-stitch figures, drawn-thread openwork, small eyelet accents, and naturally frayed edges. Likely dating from the 1940s to early 1950s, this versatile textile could be used as a small tablecloth, tea-table cover, card-table cloth, dresser accent, or decorative display piece.  Condition:  Excellent vintage condition with a few very faint markings that are difficult to notice and hard to capture in photographs. Light irregularity along the raw fringed perimeter contributes to its handmade character.
