Description
Vintage German ceramic spice canister set featuring five small jars with lids. Each white ceramic jar is decorated with blue transferware scenes of Dutch windmills, sailboats, and landscapes. The jars are labeled in German for Gewürz (Spice), Nelken (Cloves), Zimmt (Cinnamon), Muskat (Nutmeg), and Kümmel (Caraway). Each canister measures approximately 3.5 inches and 2.25 inches wide. The set shows visible signs of age including significant crazing on the back of one canister and minor surface marks throughout. Several lids are chipped in the underside.
