A 6-part x 2-layer digital percussion synthesizer.
Each part features built-in oscillator waveforms selectable from 5 types, including sine wave, sawtooth wave, and HPF noise.
Equipped with a waveguide resonator to add rich resonance to drum sounds.
Built-in 16-step sequencer with automatable parameters.
Supports synchronized playback with other volca series, electribe, SQ-1, and other machines.

Use it with your free imagination.
The 6-part DSP synth engine was created with a completely different concept from typical drum machines, producing a wide range of sounds beyond imagination.

The 6 parts, each with two layers, have no rules or restrictions like this is the bass drum or this is the cymbal; they all have the same specifications. You can build your sound set with your own free ideas, unconstrained by the concepts of existing drum machines.

Wide range of sound creation.
When you think of digital, you generally imagine sound creation based on PCM samples of bass drums, snare drums, cymbals, etc. However, the volca drum creates drum sounds through DSP-based analog modeling.

Equipped with a highly improvisational 16-step sequencer.
The built-in sequencer supports both step recording and real-time recording where you assemble patterns while looping playback.

Furthermore, the pattern chain function allows for continuous playback of any sequence of consecutive patterns.

Motion sequence function records knob operations.
The motion sequence function, which allows real-time recording of knob operations, can record a total of 69 parameters.

It can be used for creating patterns with movement, as well as for original real-time performances.
