Unused item with original basting stitches attached. Signed by the artist on the inside of the *hakkake* (underskirt lining). The signature is of a recognized artist, but the book has been lost, so the artist is unknown. Authentic Amami Oshima Tsumugi, pure silk, with mark. Characteristic thin, high-quality pure silk fabric of the finest Oshima Tsumugi. The entire outer surface is finished with lacquer leaf, giving it a firm texture. There is no deterioration of the lacquer leaf, but the texture is unique. Luxurious scattered gold and silver leaf pattern. It appears to be in a temporary state of tailoring, with the lining not yet attached. Please understand this. 82
