This is the PS612, a gun controller compatible with both PlayStation and Sega Saturn.
This is a rare model gun controller compatible with both PS and SS, featuring a built-in blowback mechanism.
Gun controllers of this type are often introduced as Real Sniper.
The pedal for the PS612 is a switch for your foot to press a specific button on the gun controller body (often the equivalent of the B button).
It is also featured in YouTube reviews as great for Time Crisis.
Time Crisis (PS1)
Press the pedal → Emerge from cover and shoot
Release the pedal → Return to cover (reload)
* This is the same operation as the arcade version.
* While the PS version is originally operated with the gun controller buttons, the pedal provides a complete arcade feel.
