MCM Matte By Summit Coffee Set 5 Mugs, Sugar & Creamer w Lid Avacado Green Birds

MCM Matte By Summit Coffee Set 5 Mugs, Sugar & Creamer w Lid Avacado Green Birds. Made in Japan. Five coffee mugs, creamer and a sugar bowl with lid. These pieces feature a Pennsylvania Dutch folk art aesthetic. One side has two birds facing each other with a stylized tulip above framed inside a jagged sawtooth pattern edge border. The other side features a folk art style tree and two birds facing each other with the stylized tulip at the top and a decorated flower pot at the base framed with the jagged sawtooth pattern edge border. The graphics mimics vintage woodcuts or folk embroidery styles. The mugs are dainty and the creamer and sugar are a little thicker. Glossy finish except the lid to the creamer has a matte finish (except the top of the knob). The rims feel like they have a thin slightly intentionally unglazed part may be part of the design for a rustic, matte look. Stamped on the bottom: Matte by Summit Fine China Japan. Retro dainty set will add a touch of vintage charm to any tablescape. Preowned- with some normal surface wear for the vintage age. The lid for the creamer has some markings. Some mugs have little manufacture imperfections in the glaze. Pictures 3, 4, were taken outside in the natural light. Colors vary with different screens and devices. Please see pictures for approximate measurements. Nice set for a tea party!
