The peeling of the toe rubber was a concern, so it has been self-repaired with GEARAID Aquaseal+SR Shoe Repair.
Although worn with socks, there are some black smudges inside.
Deodorant spray and chalk residue were wiped off after each use.
No odor.
Climbing shoes are quite expensive now, and while these can still be used for trying them out or as they are, they might be suitable for those considering a resole in the future.
(It is unknown if the repair urethane resin will affect the resoling process m(_ _)m)
