Humpback Engineering 2107 Bass EQ Assembly

This is an assembly of the Humpback Engineering 2107 BassEQ. It was installed on a Fender American Deluxe 5-string bass.
It fit directly onto my instrument without modification.

Essentially, this is a high-quality version of the Sadowsky preamp.
The sound quality is overwhelmingly superior to Sadowsky preamps made with current circuit boards.
The difference between passive and active modes is surprisingly small.
When the EQ is set to flat, the tone is almost identical to passive mode.

Controls include Volume, Balancer, Passive Tone (push/pull for active/passive switching), and a dual-ganged EQ (Upper: High, Lower: Low).
The tone control functions in all modes.
The controls are basically the same as Sadowsky's.

Bones pots are used for Volume and Balancer, a Sonic full-up tone switch pot for the Tone control (push/pull), and Bartolini pots for the dual-ganged EQ.
HUMPBACK ENGINEERING Handmade Paper-in-Oil CAP -BLACK- is used for the capacitor.
MONTREUX Black Alumite knobs are installed.

Oyaide wiring material and solder were used.

It can be used as is by wiring the battery, hot, ground, and pickups.

This was wired by a reliable workshop.

The cost, including parts and assembly labor, was approximately 50,000 yen.

It has been removed after confirming its operation.
