N/A
This piece features gorgeous, detailed hand-tooled leather work in a striking bright tan/honey color that shows off the craftsmanship perfectly it is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage 1970s briefcase. The leather is amazing. This specific piece features an incredibly rare combination of manufacturing and import markings that completely map out its unique history: The Briefcase Made in Paraguay: On lining identifies the artisan workshop where the leather panels were hand-carved and stitched together. The Closure: Stamped with the authentic M.R. Canoa / Industria Argentina maker’s mark on the hardware clasp lets you know the hardware manufacturer. (HAS THE KEY!!!) The Hang Tag: Retains its incredibly rare, original U.S. commercial import/retail tag reading Wrider PA—denoting a Pennsylvania-based specialty outfitter that originally imported it to the American market decades ago. The bag is constructed of thick, heavy-duty saddle leather and features striking hand-tooled artisan details. It has a single top handle and a secure metal tuck lock on the front with a key. Perfect for daily business use, laptop transport, or display as an artifact. Approx measurements: Width 14” Height 12” Depth 5” A Stunning Work of Art NOTE: Along the inside top edge where the leather joins the lining, the lining has color transfer and some glue residue. (I read this is from the dye transfer and the glue they use). I also read it can be cleaned but I didn’t want to attempt that. Pre-Owned
