Junk, sir! Practice sword, wakizashi size
38.94 $
Description
Applause erupts for its magnificent junk quality.
Blade Junk: 44cm (excluding habaki)
The highlights are too ordinary to be found.
Overall length: 71cm
Mountings
Tea stone pattern saya: Reasonably sound
Tsuka (handle): 17cm, very ordinary
Tsuba: Common for iaito, not a dragon, small size
Sageo: Long length attached
Likely used for practice in a dojo.
The koiguchi is quite sturdy.
Why do practitioners in Eishin-ryu and other iaido dojos place their hands below the sword?
Because a wakizashi gets in the way, so this is likely for experiencing that.
It's only slightly better than a bamboo sword.
***
By the way, this is similar to the Meiho tokonoma display I previously listed, so even if the products are not a matched set of daisho (long and short swords), they might appear to be a set...
I am considering a special service price for purchasing both daisho (as long swords incur high shipping costs), so please comment to request a bulk purchase and price negotiation.
