This is a river-trekking shoe created by incorporating Montbell's unique ideas into tabi (Japanese split-toe socks) and waraji (straw sandals). Like waraji, it achieves an excellent fit by pulling the shoelaces from the heel side. The inside of the toe is split like tabi, so your feet are less likely to slip, providing a comfortable fit. Additionally, the ankle area uses soft and highly fitting ClimaPrene® [chloroprene rubber], which does not hinder ankle movement during river trekking and makes it difficult for sand and small pebbles to enter. The outsole uses polypropylene felt.
