Cambridge Glass Topaz Tidbit Tray in Decagon Pattern

Cambridge Glass #870 center handle tray in their iconic, 10-sided Decagon pattern.  The color is Cambridge's signature yellow tint, officially known as Topaz. This classic 1930s elegant server features the distinctively styled, ornate keyhole handle shape right in the center. The flat base of the tray transitions outward into 10 clean, paneled sides rather than the square or scalloped edges seen in other makers.  According to records from the National Cambridge Collectors, the official Topaz yellow color formula used by Cambridge Glass in the 1920s and 1930s relied heavily on uranium dioxide as its active coloring agent.   The Glow Profile • Fluorescence: Because of the uranium mix, this tray is classified by glass enthusiasts as a form of Vaseline glass. If you shine an ultraviolet blacklight on it in a dark room, it will instantly fluoresce with a vibrant, bright neon green glow.
