Antique Nippon hand painted covered cheese / butter dish, Wild Rose pattern, M in Wreath mark, circa 1900-1915.  > - Two piece: rectangular underplate and domed cover with ornate loop handle  - Cream ground with olive green shading, hand painted pink wild roses and foliage, gold gilt trim on rims and handle  - Underplate ∼8.5 x 6, dome ∼6.5 x 4.5 x 4 tall  - Marked on bottom: Hand Painted NIPPON with M / hourglass in wreath - Morimura Bros early Noritake mark  - Condition: No chips, cracks, or repairs. Light gold wear to handle and rim, small brownish glaze blush on one end of dome from manufacture / age as pictured. Nice and clean otherwise.  > Original antique Nippon, not a reproduction.
