Description
For sale is vintage 1940s/1950s Vernon Kilns Vernonware Homespun Sauce or Gravy Boat. This boat is hand-painted with a glossy finish in Homespun's multi-color plaid pattern, which was made in California from 1948-1958. It measures just under 7 long (including handle) and approximately 3.25 high. This sauce boat is in great vintage condition; I see a mark that looks like a paint dot on one side of the boat (photo 13). There are also three rough areas on the bottom that I am assuming are kiln marks - these are hard to see on some of the photos of the bottom - I did my best to show them in the last two photos. Please carefully review all photos to judge condition and appearance for yourself.
