Vintage Royal Albert Old Country Roses Bone China Open Sugar Bowl & Creamer Set with 2 Saucers Floral Gold Gilt Made in England Original backstamp which was in use from 1962 to 1974. Pre-owned. Excellent condition. No chips or cracks. No visible wear to the gold gilt. Please see photos for details of condition. Introduced in 1962 by Royal Albert, Old Country Roses is the best-selling fine bone china dinnerware pattern in history. Designed by Harold Holdcroft, it was inspired by a 1921 archive pattern called King's Ransom and captures a traditional English cottage garden with burgundy, pink, and yellow roses edged in 22-carat gold.
