This is a rare early lot replica of the Goro Nyudo Masamune iaito from Nihon Antique Gallery.
The groove extending to the base of the habaki and the ji-hada (temper line pattern) of the old sword style blade are distinct features of this early-to-mid period model, differing significantly from later models.

As it is constructed for iaido, it can be used without issue for iaido practice.
