【Set of Two Sageo】Recommended for Iai! Sageo made from Sanada Himo, S & R color set

Crafted by an author with 15 years of Iaido experience, this sageo (sword knot) is meticulously made using Sanada-himo.
This product uses durable cotton Sanada-himo (bag weave) from Orizume Sumiya, a long-established workshop in Kanazawa, and each piece is hand-finished into a sageo.

Sanada-himo is a cord woven with warp and weft threads, and its characteristics of resistance to friction and pulling have been utilized since ancient times for the cords of boxes that store tea ceremony utensils and for sword sageo. It also develops a unique texture with use.

The length is a standard 240 cm for Japanese swords and Iaido swords, and the width is 1.2 cm.

As it is made of high-quality Sanada-himo, you can cut it to your desired length and use it as an obi-jime (sash cord) or for handmade materials. Some people also use it as a chidome (blood stopper) for portable shrines.

It can be easily threaded through most kurigata (pommel knobs) without snagging. Please note that there may be slight variations in length due to the manufacturing process.
