This a lovely Lily of the Valley Fine Bone China Tea Cup and Saucer made by Regency in Staffordshire, England sometime between the pattern's introduction in 1953 and its retirement in 2004. The popularity of this pattern is due to the gorgeous graphic: white lily of the valley sprays tied with a pink ribbon, a gently scalloped 14k gold-gilded rim, and a unique, ornate handle. The back of the cup has a smaller version of the same flowers. Hand-gilded (find the gilder's make in gold near the backstamp on each piece) and beautifully proportioned, this tea cup and saucer would make a great addition to your porcelain collection or a wonderful gift for anyone with a love for fine tea sets.
