This is a Noshudo-made Iaitō, the Chūden Igarashi-tō.
It has been used for Iaido practice.
The blade length is 2 shaku 6 sun (approx. 78.8cm).
The weight, without the saya, is approximately 990g, with a balance that is slightly weighted towards the right hand due to the heavy tsuba.
The tsuba is made of iron, and the other fittings are made of brass.
The tsuka-ito (handle wrap) is made of cotton and has some fading due to sun exposure, but it is still usable.
Noshudo Iaitō are popular for Iaido practice and are recommended for beginners or as a spare practice sword.
