Anchor Hocking Vintage Wexford Clear Pressed Glass Decanter with Stopper

This is a vintage Anchor Hocking Wexford Pattern Glass Decanter with a matching stopper. Design Characteristics • The Pattern: Introduced in 1967 and produced until 1998, the Wexford line features a distinct criss-cross pressed glass motif. It is recognizable by a band of small diamonds along the top portion that transitions into larger diamond points along the bottom base. • The Style: This specific wide-bottom shape is commonly referred to by collectors as a Captain's Decanter or Ships Decanter. This classic mid-century shape was designed with a wide, stable base to prevent tipping while at sea. Lead free pressed glass. VGUC from smoke free home.
